2018 was a long, warm year, as growing seasons go, and "darn near ideal" according to Louis Skinner, our winemaker. The flowering, fruit set and berry size were consistent. We picked early to mid-season to target freshness. The weather continued ideal throughout October, allowing for a great stylistic range amongst winemakers across the region. " Many long time Pinot makers told me that 2018 was possibly one of the most concentrated vintages in memory," says Louis. The result is that the wines of this vintage are dense and full of character.
